Who can be Hypnotized?
Hypnosis is a normal state that people
experience everyday when driving, reading, watching a movie, or doing anything that engrosses them so fully that they become
unaware of outside stimuli. It is estimated that 90% of the population can be hypnotized as long as they are willing
to be. In fact, stronger willed individuals who want to be hypnotized usually achieve excellent results.
How does hypnosis work?
Our minds work on two
levels, conscious and subconscious. Hypnosis is a relaxed state wherein the subconscious and the conscious mind can
work on the same concept at the same time without conflict. This allows us to make wanted changes by resolving or
reducing behaviors that no longer serve us such as habits, stress, anxiety and attitudes.
Will I do something against
my will?
No, you are aware of what is taking place at all times and are
always in control. A hypnotherapist cannot make you do anything that you do not want to do or that violates
your belief system. That is why it is very important that you really do want
to make a change.
